Tips and warnings about how to be happy at Christmas

Others may not understand the true meaning of Christmas, so you may have to show them by what you say or do.

Commercialism may appear to be central at Christmas, but it is not what makes people happy.

It is people who are important, not things.

Everyone needs respect and love.

Someone you love is likely to be happy too.

Since people everywhere celebrate Christmas differently, be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.

Knowing that you enjoy the way they celebrate Christmas will make them happy too.

Using the expression Happy Holidays or Season’s Greetings may appear to be politically correct, but it may not make you or others happy. If they know that you are a Christian, it may confuse them.

A Christmas hug is understood everywhere.
